NASCAR RV Vacation in June – Poconos, Michigan, Sonoma and Chicagoland

Summer is Heating Up!

NASCAR drivers will race to the Poconos for the weekend of June 1st-2nd, followed by Michigan June 8th-10th, and then Sonoma, CA for the weekend of June 22nd and 23rd and wrap up the month at Chicagoland Motor Speedway, in Joliet, IL.

You will certainly enjoy all these action-packed weekends at the track when you go in your RV or ours to any of these fun-filled NASCAR events.

Don’t miss the excitement of the Tricky Triangle at Pocono Raceway as NASCAR fills the first weekend of June with racing fun of the Pocono 400. Camping and RV registration opens on the afternoon of May 30th, followed by a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Hauler Parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday starting early is the final practice for the ARCA Menards Series followed by several appearances on the Fan Stage at 10:00 pm. The practice and qualifying races and various other fan stage appearances continue on Saturday the 1st of June, with an infield Block Party on Saturday night from 5-11:30 pm.  The weekend finale is the Pocono 400, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race starting at 2 pm on Sunday June 2nd.

The next weekend, the FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR Race will take racers around the track at the Michigan International Speedway. This is the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race of the season at Michigan International Speedway.  Don’t miss out! The first big race is on Friday, June 7th and begins at 6:30 pm, the ARCA Menards Series 200. Then on Saturday, June 8th, the excitement of the Xfinity Series LTI Printing 250 race starts at 1:30 pm. This is 250 miles of pure action with the future stars of NASCAR competing against the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series veterans. Don’t miss the Monster Energy FireKeepers Casino 400 race starting at 2pm on Sunday June 9th. Watch as your favorite NASCAR drivers battle it out for a trip to victory lane in the FireKeepers Casino 400.

Camping at Michigan International Speedway

With nearly 9,000 campsites, MIS is the largest registered campground in the State of Michigan. Each year, thousands of campers arrive at MIS during race week, spending the weekend camping out with their family and friends. Then for the weekend of June 21st – 23rd, check out the Toyota/ SaveMart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Sonoma Raceway in Northern California. Guaranteed to be a wild ride, this race is held in the heart of wine country, where you won’t want to miss a minute of the action both on and off the track. See the full weekend Sonoma schedule with Monster Energy final practices and cup series qualifying races on Friday and Saturday followed by the Toyota SaveMart Monster Energy NASCAR 350 Race starting at noon on Sunday. Celebrating 50 years of this track, this year should be special in many ways, with lots of featured guests, entertainment and more surprises in store.

Continue your RV NASCAR adventure the next weekend as the NASCAR action moves to Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL.

The stars of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series return as the Chicagoland Speedway’s Summer Festival Weekend culminates with the Camping World 400 on Sunday, June 30th at 2:00 p.m. But first, to kick off the weekend, on June 27th, at 8 pm is the ARCA Menards Series Bounty 150 race and Friday, June 28th is the Camping World 225, ever-unpredictable Gander Outdoors Truck Series, which showcases NASCAR’s newest stars starting at 8 pm. Saturday, June 29th, Chicagoland Speedway is host to the drivers of the Xfinity Series racing against some of NASCAR’s biggest stars in the Camping World 300. “Names Are Made Here.”  This race starts at 2:30 p.m.

This will be a fun-packed weekend for sure, with tons of racing, entertainment and lots of family fun.
