More Sites to See

Take time to visit other notable sites while you visit New York. One truly notable spot is called Castle Clinton, located at the southern tip of Manhattan by The Battery, and landing point of the New York Ferries to Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty.

If you find a photograph of Manhattan taken from anywhere in or near the harbor, whether taken from a ship, helicopter, or skyscraper, you’ll notice that Castle Clinton National Monument is one of the most instantly recognizable landmarks in a city full of recognizable landmarks. That’s not to say Castle Clinton has always looked the same. Visit their visitor center for a full view of how it has looked over the last 200 years.
