While in the Dallas Arts District , be sure to make a reservation for a show at the Meyerson Symphony Center and tour the Nasher Sculpture Center for a cultural experience. You can get around town easily by taking the free McKinney Avenue Trolley.
More adventures await you in Dallas. You should ensure you have made your list and planned your routes to be able to fit in as much as possible. You won’t want to miss the Dallas World Aquarium where you can experience a rainforest exhibit and see fascinating birds and reptiles. The plants and flowers at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens will be an inspiration to any gardener, with 60 acres of gardens to enjoy.
When you have your kids with you, visit the children’s section at Dallas Zoo. Adults love this section as well, and the rest of the zoo has a wide selection of animals who will love your company. Right next door to Dallas is Fort Worth. You can drive there in a short amount of time and experience the different attractions in Dallas’ neighboring city. If you wish to see some interesting history, visit the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Honoring women of the West, you will see a number of displays such as Georgia O’Keeffe’s artwork and stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder. At the Kimbell Art Museum you can see some artwork of the masters like Picasso, Rembrandt and Monet.
Wander some wonderful specialty gardens at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden or visit the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District with the Stockyards Museum and another Cowboy Hall of Fame. Hike to your heart’s content on any or all of the twenty miles of trails in the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge.
