RV Camping Trip to Great Louisiana Gaming

We’re hearing great reports from our RV camping friends who like to visit Louisiana casinos. Seems the Pelican State not only has high-stakes gambling in abundance, but is also home to friendly campgrounds galore. Whether you like to camp on-site when you visit casinos, or prefer to park your RV at an area campground, Louisiana has the gaming and camping experience for you. Here’s what we’ve learned:

Louisiana Casino and Camping Itineraries

  • Lake Charles Itinerary – A trip to Lake Charles, LA will introduce you to exciting casino action, as well as some good old Cajun hospitality at area campgrounds. The casinos:
    • L’Auberge Du Lac Casino Resort – This beautiful riverboat casino offers gaming “under the dome” and includes slots and sixty tables of gaming action.
    • Isle of Capri Casino/Hotel – Another great casino on the lake, where campers will find on-site RV campsites waiting to be reserved. Play an exciting round of poker or try the slots; it’s all there waiting on the Isle.

Lake Charles RV Camping – If you prefer to camp away from the casino, be sure to visit Kershaw’s Cajun Village, highly-recommended by RV campers.

  • Bossier City Casino Itinerary
Across the Red River from Shreveport, Bossier City has exploded with gaming possibilities, thanks to their new Casino District. It’s also an easy-to-reach destination, just three and a half hours from Dallas, in case you’d like to fly in and pick up an RV rental.Try your luck at one of these Bossier City casinos:

Get in touch with one or more of these casinos about their RV parking policy to stay closest to the action. You can also enjoy the hospitality at Miss Elle’s RV Park, minutes away on the Texas/Louisiana border.

And when you’re ready to take a break from gaming, be sure to visit Bossier City’s entertainment district, the Louisiana Boardwalk. This riverfront venue featuring restaurants, theatres and shops is receiving rave reviews. The casinos, the nightlife and the shopping are just three ways the Shreveport/Bossier City area distinguishes itself as “Louisiana’s other side.”

So go for the gaming and stay for the fun. No matter which Louisiana region you choose, it’s going to be a great vacation. Monty’s Musings highly recommends an RV camping trip to Louisiana’s casinos soon!
