After setting up camp at one of the area’s many RV parks, enjoy a meal at an award winning dining establishments; the Columbia Restaurant in historic Ybor City, or Jackson’s on the Davis Island waterfront are great options.

If you are camping at the Happy Traveler RV Park, come to downtown Tampa and try a bike ride to explore some beautiful sites along the Hillsborough River and the new Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. If you’re interested in shopping, Tampa is home to world-class retail and boutiques including the International Plaza, the Westshore Mall, and Old Hyde Park Village. In the mood for some evening nightlife, be sure to club hop in South Tampa’s Hyde Park neighborhood full of busy bars and dance venues.

If you’re camping at Bay Bayou RV Resort, don’t forget to enjoy the local Florida attractions with the kids. You could spend days visiting the Florida Aquarium, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, Dinosaur World, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. And chances are there will be an exciting annual festival happening at the Florida State Fairgrounds or even the Museum of Science and Industry while you’re here.

Lastly, don’t forget the area’s best beaches. Also, while in St. Petersburg, check out an afternoon Tampa Bay Rays baseball game or visit the famous Salvador Dali Museum.
