When we heard how many of our readers enjoy riding their ATVs while RV camping, we decided to learn more. It turns out more than seventeen million US ATV fans hit the trails on their ATVs every year. That makes ATVing one major RV vacation activity! We’ll be sharing tips about popular ATV trails and nearby RV campgrounds over the next few months. So read up, load up and get ready for some serious ATV action on your next RV camping trip.

ATV RV Camping Hotspot #1 – Hollister Hills SVRA – California
The more than thirty two hundred acres of Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area feature one hundred miles of trails for ATVers to explore. Divided into the Upper and Lower Ranch areas, Hollister Hills has trails for every type of off-road action. Less than fifty miles from our El Monte RV Rentals office in Santa Cruz, Hollister Hills is perfect for a weekend ATV RV camping adventure.

Families especially love coming to Hollister Hills SVRA, because it has two family campgrounds on-site. There are no hook-ups at these locations, but it’s worth it to be right in the middle of the ATV action. If you prefer full-service RV campsites, Casa de Fruta Resort is a picturesque campground adjacent to a roadside orchard.

ATV RV Camping Hotspot #2: Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area – Colorado
Here’s the plan: hitch your ATV trailer to your RV and head south from Denver, Colorado to the Pike-San Isabel National Forest. That’s where you and your ATV riding buddies will find Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area – one hundred miles of ATV trails in beautiful mountain terrain.

This well-planned off-road venue offers RV campers several developed campgrounds from which to choose. Check here for campsite availability, especially on weekends, when Rampart Range hosts Poker Runs and other off-road events.

ATV RV Camping Hotspot #3: Kentuck ORV Trail – Alabama
If taking a wild ride through a remote Alabama forest sounds like the ideal pastime, it’s time you and your ATV went to Kentuck ORV Trail in Munford, Alabama (located in the Cheaha Resort State Park which is part of the Talladega National Forest). About sixty five miles east of Birmingham, this backwoods off-road preserve has trails to challenge every level of rider.

For an awesome mountaintop RV camping experience, grab a campsite at Mountain Top Campground at Cheaha State Park. A fantastically scenic fifteen mile drive from the Kentuck ORV Trail, this campground has full hook-ups as well as a restaurant and general store on-site.

These are just three of the exciting ATV hotspots RV campers flock to in the US. With more than fifty locations across the country, El Monte RV Rentals has an RV waiting for your ATV weekend. Isn’t it time for you to take your ATV for a spin?
