We mentioned great camping at this next state park, also just an hour north of Glen Ellyn, but there’s so much more to draw RV camping fans! Chain O’Lakes State Park gives campers access to no less than ten lakes, making this a top pick for camping families who plan to fish, paddle or water ski while on vacation. Four lakes within the park’s boundaries, as well as the scenic Fox River that leads to six more, open up endless possibilities for fun on the water. Tip: fishing for walleye, muskie and crappie is particularly good, so bring along your favorite lures, an Illinois fishing license and your fishing boat of choice to navigate the Fox Waterway.

Glen Ellyn Area Attraction #3: Burnidge Forest Preserve
